About James Chowhan
My program of research focuses on the relationship between human resource management practices and organizational outcomes. In particular, my recent research looks at the effect of skill, motivation, and opportunity-enhancing human resource management practices on innovation and organizational performance. Also, I have several studies that focus on human capital development through the use of skill-enhancing human resource management practices, such as training. More broadly, I am interested in understanding how workplace practices and employment arrangements contribute to employee outcomes both at an individual and family level.
