Retirement and I are not compatible. I have been working at Beck & Masten Kia since 2020 first in the parts department and for the last year as a professional driver. in short, I have missed the credit and collections arena. My preference is full time, north to northwest side of town, or remote. I can be a specialist to handle your legal accounts, negotiating work outs, bankruptcies, and assigning of any accounts to the proper collection method (attorney or collection agency), then I would be a great asset for your organization. Working with staff to train for improvement, process improvements, and results oriented is something I'm good at. I have over 30 years commercial credit experience starting in the oil and gas industry with Halliburton for 11 years, then the valve and control manufacturing market (Pentair formerly Tyco formerly Keystone) for 9 years. Moved into the steel market working for a distributor, an import trader, then a steel mill. Spent almost 5 years with Merchants Metals, a fencing manufacturer, until the dissolution of the corporate headquarters here in Houston. In January 2011 started as the Corporate Credit Manager for Petroleum Solutions Inc, headquartered in McAllen, however I was handling credit based out of the Houston Branch. PSI is a petroleum equipment supplier as well as provide service primarily for the convenince store market. Re-united with my CFO boss from Merchants Metals at Link Staffing handling over 40 franchise owned location and 9 company branch locations. In May 2013 joined Layne Christensen. The Credit and Collections position had been vacant for over 10 years when I joined. During my time the DSO was reduced by 30 days. Unfortunately due to financial losses my position was eliminated at the end of August 2014. I then became the credit manager at Irongate Energy Services working at the office afternoon only. during the morning I was a credit consultant for Liberty Lift Solutions working on collections but primarily doing all new account investigations. Then in October 2016 I started full time as Director of Credit for Wholesale Electric Supply until May 2019. I had a team of 3 collectors, 1 new account person, 2 cash application people, and 1 Credit Manager all reporting to myself. Specialties: CCE, MBA, On the Board of Directors for NACM Gulf States for 2011-14, 2016 Past chairman of several NACM National trade groups and sleep each night knowing I made a contribution to my employer. Chairman of the membership committee of NACM for 4 years. Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
