Have accepted an offer from, thanks I was at Verizon wireless for 16+ years and left December 2017. The majority of my work was on java applications running on UNIX/Linux servers, with some web page maintenance. This was in an agile environment using DevOps tools such as maven, Jenkins,Jira, git, stash, Confluence, Artifactory and others. I can work with command line scripting on Unix/Linux systems and can use with SQL on Oracle. I have maintained and enhanced an application that used SOAP based web service. We were in the process of moving our servers to the AWS cloud at the time I left. I am studying for my first AWS certification. Our team supported a networking group that maintained the Verizon telecom switches. The networking group used an in house created Java application that we maintained to update the data on the Verizon telecom switches. Switch updates involved machine to machine communications to move large amounts of data to and from the switches. The application also generated many reports in various formats. For security we used a number of different tools; a static analysis tool known as Fortify, a dynamic web scan tool to look for security issues with our applications as they ran, and Black Duck to scan for vulnerabilities in the open source we used. I also resolved security and configuration issues on our Tomcat and Apache servers. I will be glad to supply any additional details that you require.
