I obtained my bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering at the University of Missouri - Kansas City (UMKC) in May, 2016. While pursuing my degree full time, I was the Senior Enlisted leader of the Surgemain Unit as part of my duties in the Navy Reserves. I served in that unit for 3 years. I have began an incredible journey with the HNTB Corporation in Kansas City, MO as a Water Resources Engineer. I am continuing my education towards a MSCE in Environmental and Water Resources, at UMKC. I hope to receive a commission as an Engineering Duty Officer, in the Navy Reserves, following the completion of my MSCE in order to continue my service to my country. Formerly, I worked for 10 years in the Navy as a nuclear plant operator. I qualified as a Nuclear Plant Supervisor (Engineering Watch Supervisor) and spent the last 3 1/2 years as a Principal Staff Instructor at the S8G Prototype in New York. For the last year of that duty station, I trained the staff instructors who were providing training to the students that would move on to operate our fleet's reactors. Professional Introduction: Systematic Leader with 10 years experience in nuclear power operations, maintenance, and personnel management. Skilled administrator with over 5 years experience in training program management to include advanced training.
