About James Cooper

I started my property career in January 2003 with an independent estate agency in the village I grew up in. I loved it immediately and quickly moved through the business to dealing with the sale of overseas properties, and then into branch management. In 2008 as the global financial crisis took hold I decided to take advantage of having no ties, and moved out to Dubai. Whilst there I worked for one of the largest property developers in the Middle East, it was certainly an experience and where I learnt that what happens else where in the world, happens ten times faster in the UAE. I moved back from Dubai in 2009 when I started working once again for my previous director, Mike Hart. Truly one of the nicest people you would ever have met, Mike and I took to work and quickly established Fine & Country as a leading luxury property agency. This is where I realised my niche and passion for dealing with exclusive properties and high net worth clients. Fast forward to today and that is very much still the case. New clients have usually found me via a recommendation. It’s humbling to know your core values of being kind, and to care, are recognised by clients in what is inevitably the only emotional transaction. As for the future, I’ll keep doing what I do best. Helping my clients get where they want to be.
