About James Corbett

With over four years of experience as Deputy Director, Office of Administration, at U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), James is responsible for the agency’s centralized services in the areas of acquisitions, facilities and security, property management, and administrative service. He has an outstanding record of ensuring these programs deliver results and enable the NRC to meet its important mission for the American people: to protect public health and safety, common defense and security, and the environment. He has consistently shown an exceptional ability to anticipate agency needs, create and deliver innovative solutions that reduce expenses, and respond decisively when challenged with adversity or uncertainty. Outside of his Federal executive service, James is a talented and passionate lens-based artist who has earned multiple degrees and certifications from prestigious photographic associations, including the Master of Photography and the Photographic Craftsman from the Professional Photographers of America. He has participated in photographic competitions at the local, state, district, and international levels every year since 2014, and his works are regularly on display in gallery shows and art festivals in the Washington, DC metro area. James has been published in several magazines, including a feature page in the January 2023 issue of Professional Photographer. He serves as treasurer of the Maryland Professional Photographers Association and is an active member of the North Bethesda Camera Club and the American Society of Photographers.
