About James Corbould

I love to dig into customer problems and solve them by building high quality software. I got the bug for coding when my family bought a ZX Spectrum in my early years and it was a great fascination to be able to build my own world inside a computer. How software and IT greases the wheels of industry is an endless journey and what motivates and enthuses me is knowing that my work helps organisations to succeed and has a positive impact on people. In my work I am a highly technical leader working with stakeholders to design software solutions that solve business problems, finding the right fit in the overall business and technology strategy. My specialty is enterprise integration and the Azure cloud platform whilst continually researching and learning new technologies.I like to work collaboratively in a sustainable way in an environment that fosters learning and high quality output, where people are held dear and treated respectfully and fairly. A workplace built on trust that promotes autonomy and ownership is a dream come true!Outside of work I am very busy building and learning with my two young sons. I have multiple side projects (for example, building simple games for my boys to play to help them learn at school and also to learn a new tech stack). Electronics and IoT is also a keen interest. I enjoy building things and being creative.Skills/interests: solution architecture and design, enterprise integration, Azure services such as serverless Function Apps, Logic Apps, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Grid, App Service, Azure Storage, Azure Active Directory, Azure Key Vault, Azure Redis Cache, Application Insights, Log Analytics, Azure Monitor, Azure API Management, Azure Event Hub, Azure IoT Hub, Azure IoT Edge, Azure SQL, Azure Container Registry and Instance, Azure CLI, Azure infrastructure configuration for example configuring networking and network isolation, Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, virtual machine provisioning and network hardening, Azure DevOps, Kafka, building applications using.NET, C#, PowerShell, NodeJS, JavaScript, Typescript, React, Docker.
