About James Coyle

Starting my career as a mental health researcher, I then became a senior healthcare program evaluator and performance monitoring specialist. I have over 25 years of experience involving the planning and evaluation of numerous programs and initiatives across 2 large healthcare organizations and an academic setting. I direct a team of researchers and a team of program evaluators and am a Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society. I have led, and overseen, large developmental, formative and summative evaluations as well as performance monitoring and management initiatives. I have been an active participant in the BC Health Technology Assessment Committee and co-Chaired the IH Person-and Family-Centred Care Steering Committee. My practice is use focused, collaborative and participatory. I am an active volunteer with the Canadian Evaluation Society as part of the mentorship program. I am curious, a creative problem solver, strong critical thinker, and advocate of cultural humility in the work I do.
