As an Agile Product Owner, I am deeply involved in feature development, PI planning, sprint planning, product delivery and acceptance. In my previous role as project manager and consultant, with an extensive and diverse background, I have used all of the people skills and technical knowledge that I have acquired over the course of my career to enhance the implementation process for new health care IT technologies. As a service representative for a national commercial reference laboratory, I became very comfortable working in the physician office environment. I understand the challenges faced by physicians and their staff. I am very adept at analyzing and solving problems independently in the offices. During my career as a hospital based cytotechnologist in the clinical environment, I screened cellular samples for cancer. As Cytology Supervisor, I implemented a new Anatomic Pathology information system module, and later I implemented and validated a new technology for the collection and processing of Pap smear cervical screening specimens. While a consultant for a national healthcare organization, I did charge master and workflow analysis for hospital service departments such as Radiology, Radiology Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Surgical Services, Labor and Delivery, and Organ Transplant Services. As a project manager I worked on large, complex projects implementing web based portal solutions for multi-hospital health care systems and state Health Information Organizations. I managed all aspects of the project life cycle, from initiation to closure, and was directly involved in training of IT staff, Help Desk staff and end users in the physician offices.
