About James Dalton

I am a Director in KPMG's R&D tax incentives practice, where I work as a scientific consultant. I have a PhD in microbiology, a masters in biotechnology and have worked in R&D for 10 years. My clients include multinationals and indigenous Irish firms in the pharmaceutical, life science, food, and medical device sectors. I have a strong background in infectious disease, molecular biology, and biotechnology and have published in international peer reviewed journals in the subjects of infectious disease, drug resistance, antimicrobial discovery, molecular biology, animal models, and general microbiology. I have previously worked as research fellow for five years and I was responsible for the running of a biosafety level 3 lab for Tuberculosis research. I have authored/ co-authored 12 papers to date.
