About James Daro

A quick look at my resume will demonstrate that my professional career has been devoted to service, growth and development of others. This includes a 26 year career in education. Seventeen of my professional years were spent as a classroom teacher. In this role I created and delivered presentations to various groups. I measured progress, and met assessment goals. I also coached a variety of sports for 20 years. In this role I helped create and execute game plans. In each of these goals I had to be flexible and adjust "on the run." After 17 years of teaching and coaching I became a school Principal. As the Principal I was responsible for the day to day operations of the school. I had to report progress to school boards, parish councils and the Nebraska Department of education. I had the opportunity to work with large groups of various stakeholders with various interests. After a career in education I was eager to try something new. I was surprised to learn that many of the skills and talents I developed as a professional educator served me very well in my new role as a Human Resources and Safety Manager. As a Human Resources manager I was responsible for advertising to attract potential employees. I conducted interviews, gave tours and walked new hires through onboarding and orientation. I reported to our local GM, and also to HR at the Corporate office. I assisted employees with a variety of human resources needs. I also served the company as their Safety Manager. In this role I conducted safety walks to make sure we were in compliance with OSHA standards. I also made sure injured employees received necessary treatment. I am currently serving as a Human Resources Professional at Lincoln Premium Poultry. In this position it is my privilege to work to ensure employees are receiving necessary assistance from the HR department. In each of my positions I worked quickly to establish a positive rapport with everyone, an important part of a successful team.
