About James Domres

Jim's Law Enforcement career culminated as the Assistant Chief Investigator for the New York State Attorney General. He is a highly decorated member of Law Enforcement, with his efforts being recognized in the United States Congressional Record. He is a recognized expert in the areas of Computer Investigations and Computer Forensics. He has been a leader and member of several State and Federal Task Forces, including the Joint Terrorism Task Force. He co-founded the Drug Interdiction Response Task Force to interrupt the narcotics pipeline from New York City to upstate New York. He co-founded the Western New York Regional Computer Forensic Lab and sat on its Executive Board for almost 10 years. Jim founded and lead the New York Attorney General’s Computer Forensic Investigations Team, handling all computer forensic issues throughout the state. Jim is a Certified Foren- sic Computer Examiner. He was also an Adjunct Instructor at Hilbert College teaching Computer Investigations, Computer Security and Computer Forensics. He developed the curriculum that is the basis for the Hilbert College Economic Crime Investigations degree and has also lectured at several other colleges. Jim’s work in the technical arena has netted hundreds of arrests internationally. He has investigated complex crimes and worked with prosecutors to present the findings and the evidence in the courts. He has been qualified as expert in the Superior Courts in the States of New York and New Jersey. He developed GLADIS a highly innovative process with the assistance of the US ONDCP. GLADIS, or Global Law Enforcement Analytical Drug Intelligence System, is a techno- logical way of identifying Drug Cartels. Jim has also not only been instrumental in the successful investigations of high technology crimes, but also is an extremely experienced and desired instructor in the field. He has lectured federal, state and local investigators and prosecutors, the legal bar and members of industry.
