About James Dowler

My journey began at the Royal Bank of Scotland, where I held several corporate banking positions, gaining industry knowledge. However, with a growing interest in the importance of effective communication, I switched to Strategic Communications. Working within the bank, I started reporting on how RBS was fostering innovation and entrepreneurship, covering their involvement in things like training academies, mentoring schemes, and funding options. Later, a fintech start-up recruited me to lead their marketing and strategy. There, I focused on carving out the organisation’s own unique narrative with regards to patent protection and crowdfunding. After several years, I took a job in the public sector, helping to shape policies at Defra. In 2023, I founded Lifestyle Harmonics—a Digital Journal on Lifestyle Philosophy. My goal was to combine cutting-edge research with good story-telling to both inspire and inform. Later that same year I also accepted a Communications Manager role at Entrust. Now, I'm responsible for the company's communication strategies and PR. Together, we're raising awareness about how the Landfill Communities Fund is supporting communities and environments across England and Northern Ireland.
