As one of Adland’s original digital disruptors, James has led strategic planning in some of Ireland's and Europe’s most effective creative shops including MRM-McCann, Y&R Brands, Boondoggle, In the Company of Huskies and most recently with Teneo - the global CEO advisory firm. In the near decade and a half that he’s lead thinking on brands, campaigns, ideas and issues, he has helped release ideas into the culture that have changed the trajectory of businesses and brands - in as diverse categories as luxury hospitality through to discount retailers through to whiskey – picking up an Effie or two along the way. A regular marketing and cultural commentator in his native Ireland, James also has been a lecturer in creative strategy at Technology University Dublin. He speaks a little Swedish which has deluded him into thinking he is actually Swedish (han är inte!). In 2022, James co-founded Hyphen - a hybrid agency-consultancy, a fusion of creative velocity with strategic vision.
