About James E. Wagner

In the more than 25 years I have practiced law, I have been involved in virtually all areas of practice. I have appeared at every level of state court in Tennessee, as well as being admitted to practice in federal district courts, the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court. I now concentrate my practice in areas such as personal injury litigation, workers' compensation, toxic tort litigation, products liability, firearms law, probate, estate planning and insurance. I believe my varied legal experience helps me analyze and resolve issues in old and new areas of practice. I have been privileged to represent many of the same clients over my entire career. I believe it is important to handle each case with a view toward a long-term relationship. I am a member of the Knoxville and Tennessee Bar Associations and the National Association of Railroad Trial Counsel. For about 20 years I have been a member of a district investigating committee of the Tennessee Board of Law Examiners, investigating the fitness of applicants for a license to practice law. I enjoy spending time with family, teaching and participating in shooting sports, and gardening.
