About James Everson

I pride myself in my professionalism and work ethic. I have built a reputation in my work places as a leader, and established an expectation that I will strive for results and growth. As a salesperson, I have worked in retail ranging from apparel, to automotive supplies, to telecommunications. I have worked in rapidly changing market spaces and have responded to the adaptations that are required to maintain product knowledge. I have worked in commission and wage mixed environments and understand the demand for performance and results. I have learned how to monitor success through metric based statistics and graphic representation. As a technician, I have built a knowledge base required for technical issues and repair processes. I learned to effectively follow directions as well as manage time deadlines. I have been required to cultivate a process for critical thinking and making analytical decisions; coincidentally, this has been integral to all of my endeavors, and not just in my experience as a Service Technician for Mercedes-Benz or as an Assembler at Vermeer Corporation. As a prior service Marine and an Iowa National Guardsman, I attempt to live up to my Corps/core values of Honor, Courage, and Commitment daily. I am proud to serve and look to progress in my career with the military through education and leadership development. I am passionate about our my country and our position within the global community. I seek to learn from the past and I am currently enrolled at Iowa State University as a History major and upon completion of my bachelor’s program, will look to re-enroll for a minor in Middle Eastern Studies and into a graduate program with the Middle East as my focus area.
