Currently responsible for all terminal functions, strategic direction, execution of the terminal’s objectives and profitability; evaluate, plan and implement cost-effective services for DHL eCommerce clients and customers. Manage terminal P&L: costs, OT/Headcount, productivity, vendor cost/service value—all components of P&L. Manage terminal’s Quality function: monitor internal/external quality controls; track service commitment levels and effectiveness, develop new Quality initiatives; implement best practices. Manage Human Resources function to include payroll, headcount, staffing, evaluations, employee relations, employee development. Manage the coordination of the client’s and vendor’s pick-up and closing times, pick-up points, cut-offs in cooperation with our strategic partner’s Central Dispatch and Logistics. Liaison between vendors, operations and sales. Conduct daily service audits both internal and external with terminal’s management team; address and follow up on client concerns and needs; resolve service issues. Manage maintenance of line-haul, courier, airlines and common carrier records. Conduct Time in Transit tests: vendor, line-haul, airline—based upon strategic partner’s needs. Communicate with terminal personnel through formalized daily, weekly and monthly ops meetings, newsletters, memos. Build and maintain effective USPS relationships. Manage Recognition Programs, Service Awards, DHLeC Bucks, Safety On the Spot Program, All-Stars. Conduct and ensure employee performance evaluations are completed in a timely and effective manner. Manage Employee Satisfaction levels thus fostering high employee retention.
