About James Ferrick

As Gilbane Building Company's Business Development Manager for Southwest Florida, James Ferrick is passionate about creating new business opportunities and building strong relationships with clients, designers, and brokers in the region. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from George Mason University, where he studied business, management, economics, and related support services. James has over five years of experience in the construction industry, working on various projects across different market sectors, such as healthcare, education, and hospitality. He started his career as a project engineer, supporting hotel renovation and rehabilitation projects in Orlando, and then moved to Sarasota to work on a new greenfield hospital campus in Venice. He excelled in his role, demonstrating operational excellence, cost control, and construction management skills. In 2021, he was promoted to his current position, where he leverages his field experience and knowledge base to identify and pursue new opportunities, manage proposals and contracts, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. He is also a graduate of Gilbane's Management Candidate Acceleration Program (MCAP) and a leadership graduate of SWFL Inc. and The Chamber of Southwest Florida.
