About James Fetsch

Dedicated and skilled Electrical Maintenance Technician at Northern Stamping Inc, I bring a robust background in electrical systems, military operations, and automotive services to my current role in Painesville, Ohio. Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering at Cleveland State University, I am committed to advancing my expertise in industrial maintenance and engineering. My career journey reflects adaptability and a passion for hands-on problem-solving, rooted in four years as a U.S. Marine Corps Forward Observer, where I honed leadership and communication skills by coordinating fire support and setting up advanced communication pathways using AFATDS and PRC radios for mission-critical decisions. Transitioning to civilian roles, I excelled as an Electrical Apprentice at Kingdom Electric, mastering blueprint reading, low-voltage installations, and troubleshooting electrical systems while ensuring NEC compliance. As an Automotive Service Advisor at Lawrence Hall Mazda and a Sales Consultant at Kia of Abilene, I leveraged my technical knowledge and customer service expertise to exceed sales targets and build lasting client relationships. Now, at Northern Stamping Inc, I maintain and repair electrical equipment, applying my skills in diagnostics, maintenance, and safety protocols to optimize production efficiency. Key strengths include troubleshooting, leadership (4+ years), Salesforce, Microsoft Office, and exceptional communication—evident in mentoring teams and managing complex projects. With certifications as an Electrician Apprentice, a Secret Clearance, and a Driver's License, plus the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for proficiency, I am eager to expand my knowledge in growing fields. Willing to relocate, let’s connect to explore opportunities in electrical engineering and industrial maintenance!
