About James Foran

James is currently the Restructuring Services Leader for Deloitte in Atlantic Canada. James has approximately eleven years of insolvency experience providing solutions to both debtors and creditors across a wide array of industries including pulp and paper, fishery, manufacturing, real estate and entertainment. In addition to restructuring services, James has been involved with engagements assisting companies in the capital advisory and performance enhancement space. James has also spent some time in industry. He was the Corporate Controller for The Shaw Group of Companies, one of Atlantic Canada’s leading natural resource manufacturers and community developers and he held the position of Vice President Finance of Medusa Medical Technologies Inc, a global provider of e-PCR solutions. James has been a panel speaker at a number of insolvency conferences and is a past President of the Nova Scotia Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Professionals. James is currently the Vice President of Ashburn Golf Club. James holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-operative) degree from Memorial University. James is a Chartered Accountant, a Chartered Professional Accountant, a Chartered Insolvency and Restructuring Professional and a Licensed Insolvency Trustee.
