About James Fox

Hi! My name is James, and I am currently finishing my final semester at the University of Victoria completing my BCom degree in the Gustavson School of Business. I have always been fascinated by the world of business. To be more specific, I have found a growing passion and interest in the urban development and real estate industry. Growing up in North Vancouver, I watched the city change around me as its size and population grew. It led me to understand that development is certain, but to do it properly takes a lot of hard work and creative ideas. As I advanced through my schooling in Victoria, I took some chances to gain more experience in the development and construction industry by doing two co-ops: Polygon Homes Ltd- At Polygon, I had a wonderful 4-month experience working with a variety of people taking on multiple projects. I closely worked with the Vice President of Development who participated in many affordable housing projects as well as market condominium projects. LDJ Contracting - LDJ provided me with a great opportunity to work directly on sites and learn about the construction process. This co-op experience was a mix of physical labour and educational sessions where I was taught about budgets and processes on-site. I am excited to take on new experiences in the future and continue to learn and understand as much as I can about the development industry!
