About James Francis

Previously worked in retail store mgmt before moving into the container terminal as a contract terminal operative. I joined the team at DPWS in September 2016 as operations business partner projects. This role involved project management, operational review,continuous improvement,innovation management and employee engagement. I started an Operations Manager role at SCPS in October 2017 before progressing to the role of General Operations Manager. My role involved the management of a stevedore division that supplies 220 employees across the terminal to DPWS, as the general operations manager I oversaw both the operational execution of the division and the management of financial KPI'S. In July 2022 I started a new role as U.K Commercial manager for DPWS, my role focuses on our shipping line customers in the U.K to ensure continued service delivery, potential growth and partnership projects.
