About James Gachari

A seasoned Certified Public Accountant, Treasury & Investments Manager, Revolving Loans Fund Manager, Resource Mobilizer, and Strategic Entrepreneurship PhD Scholar. Currently working as Manager, External Resources and Partnerships Manager at Higher Education Loans Board - Kenya. Main responsibilities involves mobilizing External Resources (outside government funding), managing Public Private Partnerships aimed at increasing access and quality of Higher Education in the Kenya at both Tertiary and University level and, managing students loan self-protection scheme. Previously as an Investment Manager in the Pensions industry and before the as an Accountant in the Insurance industry Trained as an Economist, Accountant, Investment Manager and in Entrepreneurship. Have special passion in youth entrepreneurship and uplifting the lives of the less fortunate by empowering them with entrepreneurship and life skills. Passionate also about Corporate Entrepreneurship and Business Re-engineering. Currently an active member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants- Kenya (ICPAK), Institute of Directors (IOD) and Kenya Association of Fundraising Professionals (KAFP)
