About James Gale

Hello. My name is James Gale. I graduated from Linn State Technical College in May 2010 with an Associate degree in Automotive Technology with an option in Light Duty Diesel. I am currently employed as an Auto Damage Adjuster for GEICO in Columbia. As and Auto Damage Adjuster, I schedule inspections daily for policyholders and claimants in the field as well as virtually. I write initial repair estimates and supplements as well as negotiate in-progress repairs with shops and repair technicians. I manage rentals vehicles daily and track repair progress at repair shops across the Midwest. I have experience troubleshooting and repairing issues in a variety of equipment, including vehicles, outboards, trailers, ATVs, refrigeration units and generators. I love to tackle a challenge, there are very few things I can't fix. I am ASE certified in engine repair and I am a Mercury Marine certified Outboard Technician.I enjoy drawing out and executing fabrication projects in a variety of materials. I have taken basic welding classes and have taught myself aluminum and stainless steel MIG welding and as well. I have built custom equipment for my former employer, and used feedback from field staff to improve the designs. I enjoy working with wood, such as carving and carpentry, but have only done so on the hobbyist level.During the time with my former employer, I have led small teams on small projects. I have also led small teams in developing new company policies.I enjoy drawing and building electrical circuits, especially when they have a practical use. I am a quick learner and pay close attention to details. I do not like to present anything other than my best effort. I have redone projects until I feel my best work has been put forth. I am always seeking opportunities to better myself as an individual and for the benefit of my employer.
