About James Gill

Throughout my career, I have developed an excellent understanding of safety practices and procedures, including risk assessments, hazard identification, incident investigations and safety training. I have also demonstrated the ability to develop and implement safety programs that meet regulatory guidelines and industry best practice. By leveraging my knowledge and expertise I have been able to assist organizations achieve their safety goals while reducing accidents, incidents and therefore injuries to personnel while maintaining protection of company assets and the environment. In previous roles I have overseen the company safety program including the development of policies and procedures, conducting safety audits, and providing safety training to employees and contractors. I have lead incident investigations and have developed corrective actions to prevent further incidents from occurring. Through my efforts I have witnessed company’s incident rates falling while improving overall safety awareness among employees. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my experience and knowledge and help develop a safety program that would be tailored to our needs. Throughout my career my passion has always centered around the Health and Safety of myself and others conducting activities irrespective of the complexity of the task. The self-motivation of compiling procedures to ensure tasks are conducted to ALARP standard and the identification of hazards requiring controls and recommendations at all worksites has been at the forefront of my successes in everything I do. Employment in a multitude of areas including Heavy Industrial and Construction based Engineering Projects both onshore and offshore have provided me with broad knowledge and extensive competency in each role.
