He has 20 plus years of success in multiple industries: automotive recycling, capital markets, energy trading, environmental remediation, industrial water treatment, electronic manufacturing, and defense performing multiple roles: treasury management; financial, market and strategic analysis; accounting; sales & marketing; and chemical, electrical, mechanical and nuclear engineering in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations from startup to over $1 billion in revenue. Some of James' successes include: 1. Provided treasury management services for the #2 automotive recycler in the US while it was under full cash dominion (when a lender of an asset-backed loan facility has full control of cash receipts). Published in-depth industry research, which conclusively demonstrated the strategic strengths and weaknesses of the major software business models and the impact to valuation not previously documented ( & known) industry wide. Managed the finances (i.e. maintained general ledger, budget creation & report generation) for a non-profit startup focused on land remediation; initial duties included the research, recommendation, and configuration of a financial accounting package (i.e. chart of accounts using four segments based on GAAP) & establishing financial policies and procedures. Determined net present value (NPV) of individual business contracts of a seven year old software and services company focused on artificial intelligence (AI) and advised senior level executives on contract pricing to improve overall profitability. Determined the leading causes that hindered reconciliation of the sales tax payable account for an eComm retail company with revenue in excess of $1 billion and in the process allowed the company to reclaim approximately $1 million from overpaid sales tax payable. Awarded Superior Market Development for entering two new geographically distinct markets and expanding operations. James earned a BE in EE from Vanderbilt University and the highly respected Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation which has been granted to less than finance professionals worldwide.
