I have a great sense of humour and appreciate a good laugh and a joke with friends as and when appropriate. However I am hard working and know when it is time to be serious and get on with work. I tackle all tasks with enthusiasm and commitment and am not easily beaten. I have a wide variety of different skills and feel that I have a lot to offer and I have the enthusiasm and mind set to learn more. I am quick to learn and usually only have to be shown how to do something once. I work well with others and also on my own. My frontline role for Network Rail Mobile Operations manager, I'm responsible for delivering prompt and effective responses to any accidents and incidents on my section of the railway. Through careful investigation and reporting, I also make sure we understand how to prevent similar events in the future. I also take on the role of a Rail Incident Officer. This oversees the establishment of a command structure, leading the co-ordination of infrastructure and service restoration activities. I also carry out a broad range of operational support duties – performance monitoring and weather related contingency planning, through to audit and engineering work, stores ordering and vehicle monitoring.
