I am an intellectual property attorney, registered with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, and have been practicing for over 25 years in all areas of intellectual property. My specialty is in patent & trademark procurement, portfolio management and enforcement. Some technology fields I specialize in include semiconductor manufacturing, optical devices, computer platforms, software development, business methods, and medical devices, as well as numerous other electrical and mechanical technology fields. My practice involves the preparation and prosecution of both patent and trademark applications, as well as intellectual property litigation, technology transaction matters, and preparation of non-infringement, invalidity and freedom-to-operate/clearance opinions. I have represented and counseled both small and large clients in all facets of intellectual property law, from prosecution and portfolio management to licensing and litigation. I have written and prosecuted hundreds of patent and trademark applications to their issuance, including successfully appealing and arguing final rejections to the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences, as well as various post-granted proceedings. My practice extends to international matters as well, such as practicing under the Patent Cooperation Treaty and directly in numerous foreign patent jurisdictions, including the Europe, Mexico, Brazil, Canada, Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan.
