About James Hall

Started my career in underground mining, I spent many years on sites around western Tasmania and then north west Qld working on all types of underground mining equipment.I then found a passion for blast hole drills, started my own business and contracted to a surface blast hole drilling company in the Qld coal fields for approx 7 years, repairing and drilling blast hole rigs. I was also a site supervisor for the drilling company. I employed 4 diesel fitters and supplied labor to several clients. After the dive in the mining industry I decided to move to small quarries and farming equipment. Also started doing fixed plant shutdown work. I got back into mining and working as a fitter on a surface coal mine looking after tracked equipment and started getting back into surface blast hole drills.I have been working in WA looking after drills only working for WA Field which has been a great experience.I joined the Mader Drill Support team in WA and really enjoyed working for Mader. I got to see a lot of WA during this time. I then transferred to the Qld division.I have now joined Jakd maintenance working on blast hole drills in the Bowen basin. I have been involved in Epiroc autonomous systems and fault finding autonomous problems.
