About James Hamilton

I am currently serving as Quality Assurance Manager for STV in NYC. My background includes extensive experience in hydraulics, hydrology, bridge scour studies, drainage design and emergency infrastructure repairs. I have participated in value engineering and technical peer review assignments, and have thorough knowledge of drainage and hydraulic design procedures for local transportation agencies, including the Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey Departments of Transportation; NYCDOT and the Port Authority of NY/NJ. I also have extensive experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, including HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HydroCAD, StormCAD, HEC-1, HEC-2, and WSPRO. My experience includes emergency response technical assistance contract work with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and on several post-disaster infrastructure repair projects.Other projects have included bridge replacement studies, flood studies, stormwater management designs, and sanitary sewer replacements.
