Background

About James Harrison

I have spent an entire career working in mental health support in the occupational setting.Clinically experienced in the delivery of high level mental health input, to a geographically dispersed population using information technology approaches. As an occupational psychiatrist I am able to provide notes reviews and face to face assessments (including via telemedicine) to provide suitability for work reports or guidance on return to work strategies.Over time my clinical role has developed and I now provide coaching and mentoring support to a range of middle and senior managers across a wide range of occupational groups. The unique mix of clinical psychiatry, occupational mental health and a full understanding of business requirements means that the coaching and mentoring support I deliver is set apart from the usual business coach that lacks the 18 years of mental health experience I bring to the table. This experience allows me to pull experiences from cognitive, behavioural, individual psychoanalytic and group psychoanalytic perspectives in addition to the more common business approaches that many coaches will have.If the requirement is to get people back to work, supported and actually excelling in the work place, utilising these enhanced techniques is likely to lead to a more successful business. I can provide a much greater depth of support to help you achieve success in your field.
