About James Herriott

I have spent my professional career developing and maintaining Software as a Service (SaaS) products. I have a wealth of experience with web and database stacks including Coldfusion/MSSQL and PHP/MySQL, as well as a deep fluency in HTML5/CSS, Javascript, and jQuery. For over a year I co-operated a small, independent web development company which saw moderate success in the Missoula, MT area and developed database driven websites for very diverse companies across the nation. I was responsible for everything from meeting with clients and disseminating user requirements and specifications to actual graphic design and web programming. I became a very seasoned Wordpress (PHP/MySQL) developer and spent a lot of time with Javascript frameworks such as JQuery. We enjoyed working with our clients and producing quality products until life got too busy and we moved on to bigger and better things. Currently I am a software developer at Fidano Software in Whitefish, MT, where I primarily design and develop financial reporting, merchant, and salesteam management software as a service (SaaS) products. I tackle complicated data displays, reports, and even commission payment processing modules. I enjoy the ease of use and security features of Coldfusion as well as the availability of resources such as MSSQL that Fidano provides. I enjoy any position that consistently presents a challenge and provides ample learning experiences on a daily basis. I thrive in a small team environment and love the fast pace of agile development.
