About James Hone

I am a Brighton-based professional working in the legal technology sector in a content development role. With particular experience in project management, legal research and communications, I bring together external and internal stakeholders to create market-leading legal guidance. A Cambridge law graduate with extern experience across the law and policy of England and Wales, Scotland, Republic of Ireland, New South Wales (Australia) and New York, I aim to bring an internationally informed view of key legal trends which informs strategic and efficient development of our content and the maintenance of its relevance and accuracy. In addition to my work commissioning at LexisNexis (where I focus on Irish law guidance covering banking, financial services, property and litigation), I am a committed volunteer in the environmental space. For Earth Law Center, Nature Governance Agency, and Nature, Inc, I apply my experience in legal content development and international and comparative research to the problems of nature restoration and sustainability. My environmental work focuses on leveraging private law mechanisms to create environmental governance mechanisms which bring together community involvement, public and private finance, and ecological best practice to protect and improve our planet for everyone. It has been recognised by various UN-affiliated membership organisations, including the Children & Youth Congress for the (YOUNGO) and the Sustainable Ocean Alliance (part of the UN Ocean Decade 2020-30).
