Director of Graduate Studies, Graduate Advisor, and TA/RA Supervisor: Managed the department’s graduate admissions process, which included processing applications, coordinating and directing admissions committee meetings, and communicating admissions decisions. Mentored departmental graduate students in their academic programs. Assisted graduate students in course selection, faculty thesis and dissertation committee recruitment, and time management practices. Trained, counseled, monitored, and evaluated all Teaching and Research Assistants in the Department. • Graduate Program and Curriculum Coordinator. Developed and refined graduate program curriculum according to best practices. Evaluated and reviewed program and curricular goals, measures, objectives, and outcomes for internal program assessment and regular SACS accreditation processes. • Administrative Associate Professor. Developed and taught core courses in the Latin American Studies curriculum which includes: Core Seminar in Latin American Studies; Pedagogy and Professional Development; Social Justice and Civic Engagement in the Americas; Service, Citizenship, & Education in the Americas, Latin American International Relations, Latin American Studies Service-Learning; Washington Model Organization of American States. • Experiential Education and Public Service Coordinator. As Departmental liaison with the University’s Center for Public Service and with our experiential education community outreach initiatives, I helped to coordinate and manage our partnerships with community organizations, both domestically and internationally, to fulfill the University’s public service graduation requirement. • FLAS Coordinator: Managed US Dept. of Education Title VI FLAS Grant. Awarded FLAS Fellowships, collaborated with Program Officer at UD Dept. of Education, filed annual reports on grant outcomes. • Faculty Committees Administrator: Established, coordinated, and chaired interdisciplinary faculty committees for various departmental grants and awards programs. Recruited faculty committee members from across relevant schools and departments, provided guidance for committee deliberations, processed committee decisions and notified grantees/awardees. • Grant Writer and Administrator: Collaborated in the data collection, project development, and creative program design for multiple grant proposals, including the US Dept. of Education’s Title VI NRC and FLAS grants ($500K per annum) and the Tinker Foundation Graduate Field Research Grant program ($30K per annum). Administered select parts of successful grants.
