For the past 9 years, I have been facilitating training for RN telephonic case management, clinical utilization management processes, and claims call center customer service operations with Optum in both face to face and virtual environments. I worked in an escalated call center for Stericycle working with customers for Fiat Chrysler Automobiles as an Agent, Trainer, and Supervisor. I have six years’ experience with retail sales, three years’ experience with business-to-business sales, and three years’ experience in banking. With an additional six years’ worth of Secondary Education experience, I’m building a career that combines my corporate and educational backgrounds. I want to work for an organization that values learning as a creative, risk-taking endeavor. Achievements at Optum: Team Lead for the Medical Benefits Management and Medicare operations working directly with Operational Leadership to schedule and execute training for new hires and uptraining for existing employees. Strategized and delivered training for 145 employees in our Kidney Resource Program. Created a pilot program that combined Maternity Support RNs with Case Management RNs to reduce the need for the Maternity Operation to train on the floor. Designed and served as the original Delivery trainer for a new Specialty and Oncology Medication team that helps approve authorizations for treatment for members. Training included MDs, RNs, and non-clinical entry level employees. Developed “virtual binders” using Microsoft One Note for multiple operations. Onboarded new trainers, mentoring them in their first three months of employment. Conducted T3s for Trainers and Sr. Trainers on new applications and systems. Served as a mentor in UHG’s Learning and Development Mentoring program, helping mentees successfully reach their goals of moving their careers in a new direction. Member of site’s Employee Community Council that plans and implements activities and celebrations. Oversaw our annual school supply drive in 2018-2021. Achievements at Stericycle: Redesigned entire training program for department that involves participation from all facets of the team including Management, Administrators, and Agents. Provided structure and a welcoming environment for new hires. Created system of metrics for trainees that measure achievement and information retention. Created and maintained a system of documentation to log trainee performance. Overhauled, rewrote, and expanded policy documents in department database for the entire team.
