About James Kannanthara

Hi there! I am an animation artist, and in all the years I've worked in this industry, the most astute thing I've learnt is that art is everywhere, and is pretty much a backbone of our information based world. In the past 7 years, I have worked in almost every field one can fathom. And in that process, I have gained an umpteen amount of knowledge, that would have otherwise cost me a lot. Ranging from 3D instructional animations for medical professionals on skin grafting to making an 2D explainer animation about crypto mining. Other fields I have worked in include gaming, music, technology, travel, fashion, social media, documentaries, and even sports where I was part of the On Air team for IPL 2023. And that is pretty much my thing. I love knowledge and animation, and thoroughly enjoy how interdependent the two turned out to be. Growing in one, invariably causes growth in the other. And that's just what I want, as I am an aspiring animation teacher. So, as an aspiring teacher who has been gathering all this information in the past decade, I want to engage with aspiring artists to teach them what I know and gain from what they know. So I conduct lectures and workshops on traditional, experimental and software based animation and design too. I hope I get to work and learn with you too! Thank you!
