About James Kernan

I'm James, a Full Stack Developer who loves creating interactive apps and websites. I have a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, and a certificate in Software Engineering from Thinkful, a bootcamp that taught me how to use JavaScript, React, Node, and other technologies. I have almost 3 years of experience as a Software Engineer at ExecOnline, where I worked on developing and maintaining features using React, TypeScript, Ruby on Rails, and other tools for their online learning platform that serves thousands of executives and leaders. I also have experience as a Systems Engineer at Fluor Corporation, where I facilitated and managed hundreds of system interfaces for the Purple Line Transit project, a major infrastructure initiative in Maryland. I'm passionate about helping others, learning new things, and taking on challenges, and am currently looking for new opportunities to apply my skills and grow as a developer!
