About James Lahner

As an Integration Engineer with over three and a half years of experience in driving operational efficiency, I specialise in system integration, automation, and the development of solutions to complex technical challenges. My expertise lies in Java, SpringBoot, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS, reinforced by certifications in WSO2 API Manager, Micro Integrator, and Java development. One of my key career highlights includes developing a new MFT solution for a major bank that drastically improved efficiency, reliability, and reduced costs. This no-code solution leverages SpringBoot, WSO2 Micro Integrator, Kafka, and DataDog to facilitate seamless file transfers, while providing robust error handling. As a result of this successful implementation, I am currently leading the migration of all of the bank's MFT workflows from on-premise to the cloud. In another significant project, I leveraged my skills in automation to transform raw data into a format easily readable by a new solution, making the API migration process for the same bank an automated one. My career is guided by a strong belief in the power of technology to enhance business operations and outcomes. I thrive on efficiency, meticulously integrating systems to create streamlined solutions, and emphasise the importance of teamwork and continuous learning. My professional aspirations are rooted in my desire to evolve my technological expertise, develop leadership skills, and influence business strategies at a strategic level, with a long-term goal of becoming the CTO of a reputable organisation.
