About James Lane
I am currently an Aramark Supervisor of the Production and Patient services at IU Health, helping to expedite and maintain a smooth and safe service. I came home to Bloomington Indiana when my wife retired from the army in June 2022. Previously, I had also completed my Culinary Institute of America culinary externship at Truffles fine dining during the Covid19 pandemic in 2020. I was lucky Mark offered me the opportunity when many similar restaurants were shut down. I returned to San Antonio to finish my culinary education, work at the Culinary Institute’s Restaurant, Savor, and founded my own Veterans’ nonprofit organization, ‘Served’ with my battle buddy from my OIF deployment, SFC Shane Salter, USA RET, and wife Army Chaplain & former nonprofit attorney Jennifer Lane. Now that we are home, we hope to continue brewing beer inspired by our fallen comrades in arms with the intent of being a highly charitable brewery that gives to Veteran causes. We plan to build the brand by winning the hearts, minds and tastebuds of beer lovers and explorers.
