About James Larsen
I am currently pursuing my PhD in Applied and Interdisciplinary Mathematics at the University of Michigan. My coursework has been focused on utilizing quantum computation in the simulation of partial differential equations. I am also thinking a lot about quantum algorithmic applications in chemistry, inspired by the rich field of quantum control theory. With funding from the Department of Energy’s Computational Science Graduate Fellowship, I hope to deepen our understanding of what is truly possible with new and emerging technologies.
