About James Lucky

As a reliability engineer at CAI, I applied my technical and supervisory skills to optimize the performance and reliability of complex systems and equipment. I worked with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues, implement preventive and corrective actions, and conduct root cause analysis. I also helped develop systems and programs to make training and working more efficient and effective. Before joining CAI, I served as the Atlantic Fleet Submarine Force Engineering Department Master Chief in the US Navy for over two years. I was responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair, training, and personnel qualifications of submarine nuclear reactor plants and associated propulsion systems. I led and mentored a team of over 100 personnel, ensuring their safety, readiness, and professional development. I also contributed to several strategic initiatives and projects, such as the submarine operational excellence program and the fleet maintenance inspection program. Throughout my 31-year career in the Navy and the private sector, I have developed core competencies in organizational leadership, training and development, supervisory skills, and reliability engineering. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management from The New School and a certification in nuclear power from the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command. I am passionate about learning new skills, solving complex problems, and enhancing the performance and reliability of systems and teams.
