Background

About James Lynch

With more than 15 years at the College of Coastal Georgia—and, since 2022, in a shared-services capacity with South Georgia State College—Jim leads institutional effectiveness, accreditation, and compliance efforts. He designs and stewards college-wide planning and assessment frameworks; compiles, analyzes, and communicates decision-ready data on enrollment, strategic priorities, budgeting, state reporting, and student learning outcomes; and serves as Coastal Georgia’s SACSCOC Accreditation Liaison, aligning evidence with standards and continuous-improvement cycles. Jim also serves as Clery Compliance Coordinator, partnering with campus security and law enforcement to ensure accurate, timely Clery Act reporting and policy transparency. From 2016–2021, in addition to assigned responsibilities, he served as Interim Director of International Education, expanding global learning initiatives and services for international students. Across these roles, Jim focuses on using evidence to drive strategy, inform resource allocation, and produce measurable gains in institutional quality and student success.
