About James May

My career started out in video production at WBRW Channel 6, any day with a camera in my hands was a good day. That soon transitioned into a love for graphics, animation, and all the other aspects of media production. I attended Specs Howards School of Broadcast Arts to continue to learn my craft, as well as getting a certificate for it, in the hopes of continuing my career in video production. After Specs Howards I went to work for Cabin Fever Productions. It was an amazing experience, however short lived, due to a SAG strike I was laid off almost a year after starting. After the lay off I began doing freelance video production work where I could find it, while working at TGI Fridays to supplement my income. About ten years later Friday's began doing some restructuring and I was let go. It was then that I found a new calling when I started a position at Beaumont Health in Nutrition Services. Over the years I worked my way up to Supervisor, but never truly found that sense of fulfillment I was looking for. I began looking for something new when COVID suddenly became a major nation wide issue. With people quitting hospitals in large numbers, and the number of patients on the rise I decided to stay and do my part to help ensure the patients were taken care of.
