Appointed Area Specialist and Relief Operations Manager at Primary Connects flagship Distribution Centre - Melbourne South Regional DC. I am a natural people leader, excel in managing to keep people engaged and am passionate about people's safety and well-being. MSRDC is a fully automated, state of the art facility incorporating automation technologies from various industries to work together under the same roof. We currently hold the record for being the largest DC in the Southern Hemisphere. From being onboarded in October 2018, we, as a team, have seen the site go live and continue to push forward breaking barriers and records while servicing our customers to the highest possible degree.Responsibilities, skills and experiences I have developed and refined in my current role- Executing workload planning for assigned area into actual results- Leading by example building and promoting a team environment focused on working collaboratively and championing the Primary Connect values- Working with my peers to drive continuous improvement and a dynamic work culture- Performance manage and develop team members- Use effective communication techniques which encourage open and honest communications with internal and external team partnerships- Effectively communicate key site objectives for the day to the team and coach to deliver consistent performance levels- Understand and adhere to all relevant Company Policies and Procedures and to promote same amongst team- Ensure that the team comply with safety policies, procedures and role responsibilities as defined in the Supply Chain Safety Management Procedure SHE-SC-S01-P02 SH & E Responsibilities- Have an in-depth understanding of my area of responsibility to ensure that we are able to work with key stakeholders to optimise efficiency, delivery of KPI’s and support continuous improvement- Diagnose, assess and propose solutions to operational issues within area of responsibility- Demonstrate high level of ownership of area and ensure appropriate accountability exists- Highly motivated team player- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet agreed deadlines- Proven people leadership skills and attention to detail- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to form and maintain strong relationships internally and externally- Proven ability to work in a highly dynamic fast paced environment- Results oriented and organised- Experience with various computer programs, including but not limited to - Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point, Google Suite
