I have worked on a number of projects since completing my PhD, firstly investigating the ability of nanoparticles to act as radiosensitisers. I then moved onto working within a multi-disciplinary project aimed at the development of miniaturised implantable sensors to monitor pH and oxygen levels within individual tumours. Following this I focused on the identification of biomarkers of radiotherapy and chemotherapy response in breast and prostate cancers. My current project investigates cellular susceptibility of Jaagsiekte sheep retrovirus (JSRV) infection and ovine pulmonary adenocarcinoma (OPA) development.
