About James Micolo

Knowledgeable, determined, and professional. Graduated Union County Vocational School in 1994 with my HVAC-R diploma and have been Pushing myself for bigger and better projects and challenges ever since. starting off in residential HAVC doing installations then I pushed for service and on-call work. Soon I left to work for a company that worked on just about anything including refrigeration. After a few years there I wanted to work on even bigger pieces of equipment in an industrial setting so I applied with the Trane company in Pensacola Florida. There I got to work on all kinds of large chillers ( over tons ). By this point, my career had taken me to a lot of interesting places. I had worked in refineries,power plants,military bases, ships, paper mills, Flight simulators, and even a satellite launch pad. Years later I wanted to get into construction so I want to work as a start up and commissioning tech with a mechanical contractor in Miami. There I got to Start up HVAC systems from scratch in hospitals and hi-rise buildings. I found it to be rewarding to coordinate different trades toward getting certain pieces of equipment ready to go and best of all being able to say I had something to do with getting to cooling system in a hospital or hi-rise. Again, still pushing I became a service manager and enjoyed running a service department with four guys. Still being a part of a mechanical contracting company I was still coordinating equipment start ups and I was given some projects to manage. Today I am doing project management and still get a thrill with being around large machinery.
