About James Mier

I’m a data-centric analyst who is passionate about using data to unlock insights, craft compelling narratives and guide strategic decision-making. My professional career has seen me working extensively with data in the financial and automotive sectors, as well as working across diverse environments such as startups, small enterprises and corporate businesses. From a technical standpoint, i'm adept at using SQL for data querying and manipulation. I've worked with both on-prem and cloud data warehouses such as Oracle and Snowflake. For dashboard creation and reporting purposes, i've used both PowerBI and Tableau. I also have experience with using data engineering tools such as dbt, Buildkite and Airflow. I'm also proficient with Excel for any other analysis or reporting needs. What sets me apart is the ability to bridge the gap between data and decision-makers. I excel at stakeholder management, and take pride in my ability to communicate findings in a clear and concise manner. I am naturally curious to understand the "why" behind the data.
