With over 21 years of experience, James has played a pivotal role in the successful delivery of some of the world’s most iconic events, including the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games, Rugby World Cup 2015, Baku European Games 2015, Ashgabat Asian Indoor Martial Arts Games 2017, Dubai Expo 2020, Saudi Games 2022, and COP28 in Dubai, 2023.Recognised for his contribution to the industry, James has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate (PhD) in Management from the Dunster Business School in Switzerland, specifically for his services to the advancement of crowd management.A thought leader in his field, James holds Fellowship status with the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and is a Fellow Chartered Manager with the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). He combines academic rigour with practical expertise, holding a Master’s Degree in Event Management alongside advanced certifications in NEBOSH, Crowd Science, and Spectator Safety.Currently pursuing a PhD in Philosophy of Management, James remains deeply committed to driving innovation, research, and education in the field of major event operations and crowd safety.
