An experienced IT & security leader with a business mindset - simply put; focused on driving revenue growth, reducing operational overhead, improving capital efficiency, and safeguarding the treasury. I’m extremely pragmatic, with deep experience building and scaling Security, IT and Data Privacy functions in high-growth SaaS and tech environments. With a background that spans consultancy, cloud-native security, digital forensics, military, intelligence, and startup advisory, I bring a uniquely well-rounded perspective to the CISO role. I’ve successfully built security programs from the ground up across sectors like business travel, health tech, data analytics, and payroll—protecting sensitive data for millions of customers and their employees. 🤝 Currently, I serve as CISO at Payfit, leading global IT and security initiatives. I’m also a trusted advisor to Mmtm (a tech consultancy) and a council member at the Dean Close Foundation. I’ve led security at companies like PayFit, TravelPerk & Hotjar, and advised SaaS startups ups such as Metomic, Oliva, and Trustworks, all of which have further shaped my approach to building high-trust, high-resilience security cultures. My credentials include a Master’s in Information Security & Digital Forensics, alongside certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer, to name a few. I've worked with many different laws and frameworks, including GDPR, UK Data Protection Act, HIPAA, DORA, NIS2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, SANS Top 20, Cyber Essentials. I’m a member of the ClubCISO, CIISec, ISACA, and (ISC)² communities, and passionate about mentoring the next generation of cybersecurity leaders. I’ve also contributed to the industry as a guest lecturer, published author, and hands-on advisor in the evolving security ecosystem.
