About James Munyao

James Munyao is passionate about Sustainable Development, International Development and Volunteerism. James has an extensive experience in Project Management, Missions & Program Planning and Designing, Training and Facilitation, Communications, Team Leading, Community Mobilizing, Education for the SDGs, Youth Engagement Programs, Movement Building, Executive management and Volunteer Engagement. He is currently pursuing his third degree; MA in Global Development Design at South Eastern University-USA. James is the current Head of Special Missions and Programs at Africa for SDGs where he is heading the coordination of the implementation of Education for Sustainable Development in Learning Institutions, And the Inter-generational Leadership and Development Program for Faith Based Institutions and Organisations. As the lead coordinator of the Education for Sustainable Development program; He is the brain behind the Kenya ESD Awards for all learning institutions in Kenya with the first one hosted by the Ministry of Education in 2022. As a movement building practitioner, James coordinated (as the first coordinator) the formation of the Renew Our World campaign in Kenya now the Malizingira movement by Tearfund in Kenya in 2020-2022 to mobilize and connect pro-climate youth involving organisations and volunteer involving organisations in Kenya for synergy on climate activities. The movement is currently part of the RoW Campaign. Among other movements. He also serves as a part time Missions Coordinator for Watts of Love- USA in Kenya Islands to curb Sex for Fish vice by empowering young women and women with Leadership, Innovation, Financial literacy and Entrepreneurship skills for alternative livelihoods for self-resilience and sustainability.
